Professional Supervision/ Whaiutu Whakahaere Tikanga
I have experience working across mental health inpatient and community settings. I provide professional supervision for Occupational Therapists, mental health professionals and other practitioners who want a space to reflect, develop their practice and feel supported in the work they do.
I believe good supervision isn't just about ticking a requirement off a professional checklist. It's an opportunity to pause, think critically about your work, explore challenges, build confidence and make sure you're looking after yourself while supporting others.
Who is supervision for?
My supervision is available to:
Occupational Therapists
New Graduate Occupational Therapists
Mental health professionals
Allied health and other helping professionals
Practitioners working in community or mental health settings
Individuals or teams looking for reflective practice and professional support
New Graduate OT Supervision
Starting out as an OT can feel like a lot.
I offer weekly supervision for New Graduate Occupational Therapists, providing a regular space to ask questions, reflect on clinical experiences, build your confidence and develop your professional identity.
Supervision can be tailored to where you are in your development, whether you need help with clinical reasoning, documentation, navigating challenging situations, understanding your role or simply having someone to talk things through with.
What can supervision look like?
Supervision is tailored to you, your role and your professional needs.
Sessions may include:
Reflective practice
Clinical reasoning and decision-making
Case discussion
Professional development
Exploring challenging situations
Boundaries and ethical considerations
Working with complex presentations
Mental health practice
Developing confidence and professional identity
Managing workload and professional wellbeing
Exploring the impact of your work on you
I aim to create a space where you can be honest, curious and reflective, without feeling like you need to have all the answers.
Individual or group supervision
Supervision can be provided individually or in a group format, depending on the needs of you or your service.
Group supervision can be a great way to create shared learning, encourage different perspectives and support a team to reflect on their practice together.
If you're a service or organisation looking for ongoing supervision for a team, I'm happy to discuss what this could look like and tailor the format to your needs.
In person or online
I offer supervision via Zoom, making it accessible regardless of where you are based.
For those based in Auckland, I can also offer supervision in person, depending on location and availability.
Let's have a conversation
If you're looking for supervision for yourself, a New Graduate OT, or a wider team, get in touch.
We'll have a conversation about what you're looking for, the type of supervision that would be most useful and whether I might be a good fit.
Quotes are provided following an initial enquiry, based on the type and frequency of supervision required.
